An Evening With Sam Baldock

A brilliant evening last week as we hosted our second event on the 600th Anniversary calendar, “An Evening with Sam Baldock”.

Sam talked with Mr Hudson in front of a large audience of current and former students, parents, staff and members of the local community, about his time as a student at the Latin, and his journey into and in professional football, having played at several clubs including MK Dons, Brighton & Hove Albion, West Ham, Reading and, currently, Oxford Utd.

An inspiring evening covering many topics including discussions about hardwork, adaptability, resilience, mindset, leadership, and luck! When asked what his advice to youngsters would be, Sam stated: "Just be adaptable, work hard, and be human." Good advice . . . proud Mum, Jacquie Baldock - former Royal Latin deputy headteacher and chemistry teacher - nodded in agreement!

Huge thanks to Sam for giving up his time and entertaining us so brilliantly.
