On Wednesday, 1st May around 70 Old Latins, as well as sixthform students and staff, attended Archive Day in Rotherfield House. Guests were able to meet up with old friends, enjoy tea and cake, as well as take the opportunity to view the revamped Wagland Room, which included board displays on the 'David Hudson Years', vintage uniform and new and older donations of archive material housed in new glass cabinets. The Wagland Room screen showed a selection of images through the history of the school, as well as short film of HM The Queen Mother opening Main Block in June 1963. 

Headteacher David Hudson was the guest speaker at this, his 14th and final Archive Day, where he fondly reflected on his 14 years at the helm of the Royal Latin School, before his imminent retirement in July. John Hounslow (Class of 1970), author of the recently-published new history of the school, 'Latin Lives', presented Mr Hudson with tokens of appreciation on behalf of Old Latins, including a replica old-style school scarf, much to Mr Hudson's delight! Guests were then invited to tour the school with Mr Hudson, before the afternoon drew to a close. View a gallery of images from the event here.
